St John Lutheran Church

About this church

St. John Lutheran Church is a Protestant congregation in Cypress, Texas, whose mission is to connect neighbors with the riches found in Jesus. The church organizes that mission around celebratory worship, biblical community, practical love for neighbors, and meaningful service using each person’s gifts. Its two Sunday gatherings provide a clear stylistic choice: traditional worship early and contemporary worship later. Children and students have age-specific paths from early childhood through high school. Fifth- and sixth-graders explore the Bible, seventh- and eighth-graders enter Lutheran confirmation, and high-school students discuss real-life faith, serve in a worship band, and participate in mission trips and national youth events.

Traditional worship begins Sunday at 8:15 a.m., with contemporary or modern worship at 11:00. Both current service streams and previous messages are available online. Guest parking spaces sit nearest the Worship Center entrance from Huffmeister Road, and greeters inside can direct families to the nursery, children’s rooms, and adult Bible studies. The campus address is 15235 Spring Cypress Road. Wednesday Night Live adds a family meal, music, fellowship, and age-specific breakout sessions, but its seasonal calendar should be checked before attending. A first visit is therefore easiest to plan by choosing a preferred worship style and arriving early enough to use the clearly marked guest parking.
