St. Peter's Anglican Church

About this church

St. Peter’s Anglican Church begins Sunday Morning Prayer at 8:00 a.m. at 19915 Cypress Church Road in Cypress. A quiet Low Mass without hymns follows at 8:30. The principal High Mass begins at 10:30 and includes chanting, hymns, incense, and the fuller ceremonial of the Anglo-Catholic tradition. Wednesday Bible study meets in the parish hall, with the current hour available from the church calendar.

The parish uses the King James Bible, 1928 Book of Common Prayer, and 1940 Hymnal. Its convictions include the primacy of Scripture, the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian creeds, the seven ecumenical councils, and seven traditional sacraments. Parish life also includes Morning and Evening Prayer, Christian formation, Sunday School, fellowship, prayer groups, and outreach, all centered on the Eucharist. The three-step Sunday schedule lets a newcomer choose deliberately: begin with spoken prayer, attend a contemplative Mass, or experience the church’s fullest music and ceremony at 10:30. That clarity is especially valuable for someone unfamiliar with Anglo-Catholic worship, where “Low” and “High” identify genuinely different liturgical experiences.
