About this church
At 10:30 a.m. Sunday, The Church at Cross Lake meets at 18811 Cypress Rosehill Road in Cypress. An informal prayer time begins at 9 in Room 101, and children's classes for newborns through age twelve run during the main service. Most weeks, people bring a bag lunch and eat together afterward, turning Sunday into an extended but casual opportunity to build relationships rather than leaving immediately after worship.
Children's ministry uses the Gospel Project curriculum to trace the Bible's story from Genesis to Revelation and show how it points to Jesus. Adult-led classrooms aim for safety, encouragement, and partnership with parents. Students gather weekly to study Scripture, worship, ask honest questions, have fun, and develop relationships that support faith and service. Cross Lake Groups meet throughout the week, usually sharing a meal, discussing the Bible in connection with real-life concerns, and praying for one another. The congregation summarizes its purpose as making disciples in northwest Houston and beyond by building relationships, equipping believers, and living on mission. It is elder-led, with elders responsible for preaching, teaching, prayer, and spiritual direction alongside part-time and volunteer staff. A first-time household can join prayer early, use age-specific care during 10:30 worship, and pack lunch for the easiest path into conversation after the service.
