Water of Life Lutheran Church

About this church

Water of Life Lutheran Church is a Forney congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Sunday worship follows the Divine Service from Lutheran Service Book, combining traditional liturgy and hymns with some contemporary praise songs. Communion is celebrated weekly under the congregation’s close-communion practice. Children remain welcome in the sanctuary, with activity bags and a nearby nursery or cry room available when needed. Ministries include Sunday School, youth confirmation, food pantry service, English-language classes, grief support, prayer shawls, and weekday Bible study.

Sunday School for preschool children through adults begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship from 10:00 to about 11:00. Midweek adult Bible study meets Friday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The public food pantry uses announced Saturday dates, commonly from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. or until supplies run out. The homepage currently reports technical problems with its livestream, so remote visitors should not assume a live broadcast is available even though older recordings remain online. In-person guests will find accessible parking near the front and the welcome table just before the sanctuary.
