Memorial Presbyterian Church

About this church

Memorial Presbyterian Church in Fredericksburg begins Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and sanctuary worship at 11:00, with a YouTube livestream available. Many people arrive about thirty minutes early for coffee and refreshments, and informal fellowship follows the service. Dress ranges from casual to business-casual. Parking is available on site and along nearby streets; the larger north-side lot includes accessible spaces and ramps. The congregation describes worship as traditional in form but connected to contemporary meaning, rooted in Reformed theology and God’s grace.

MPC candidly presents itself as a somewhat older congregation eager to welcome families and build intergenerational relationships. Tuesday men’s Bible study meets at 8:30 a.m., while a pastor-led Wednesday sermon study at 11:00 examines the passage planned for the coming Sunday. Quarterly potlucks follow worship, and the Alix House across the parking lot provides access to licensed professionals serving children and adults. The church supports local and global mission, including organizations in Fredericksburg and the Salvation Army office located next door on church property. This is a strong option for visitors seeking thoughtful Presbyterian worship, discussion-based study, accessible arrival information, and a congregation that openly describes both its present character and its hopes for younger households.
