First United Methodist Church

About this church

First United Methodist Church of Killeen is a grace-centered congregation serving its community since 1892. It welcomes people who ask questions, resist easy answers, or are still discovering faith, while pursuing the United Methodist mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Worship, Sunday School, music, care, outreach, and ministries for children and teenagers shape its weekly life.

Regular Sunday services begin at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. The homepage currently announces one combined service at 10:00 on Sunday, August 30, so visitors on that date should follow the special schedule. Nursery care is available during both regular services in Room 104. At 11:00, children begin in the sanctuary and leave after Children’s Time for Kid’s Korner. Teenagers meet Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for fellowship, worship, learning, and community. The Chancel Choir leads the 11:00 service and rehearses Wednesday at 7:00. Adult Sunday School and other groups are open to the public, though their exact hours should be verified through the current calendar. The church’s children’s development center is a separate weekday program and should not be confused with Sunday nursery or Kid’s Korner. Seasonal music and mission trips appear on ministry pages rather than the standing worship schedule.
