The congregation began during a March 1932 tent revival in Willow Springs outside Longview. Twelve people organized Willow Springs Baptist Church within a week; the name became First Baptist of Greggton later that year and Greggton First Baptist Church in the late 1950s. More than nine decades later, the church defines its purpose through the Great Commandment and Great Commission, worship, fellowship, love for Christ and one another, reaching people, and supporting its community.
