Mobberly Baptist Church

About this church

Mobberly Baptist Church’s Longview campus schedules three Sunday hours at 625 East Loop 281: 8, 9:30, and 11 a.m., with both worship and Connect Groups available. The first two worship gatherings use blended music led by choir and orchestra, while the final service uses a modern band and worship team. Families attend one worship gathering together and can choose an age-graded Connect Group at 9:30 or 11 during another hour. Dress ranges from jeans to suits, and the church presents all three gatherings as full campus worship rather than separate congregations.

Mobberly states a mission of people leading people into a life-changing, continually growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Its teaching is grounded in Scripture and aims at practical Christian living. Connect Groups provide the primary relationship structure, while Christian formation, care and recovery, marriage, men’s, women’s, and missions ministries provide more focused settings. The worship ministry includes singers, instrumentalists, drama, audio, video, and lighting volunteers across ages and backgrounds. Women’s programs include Bible and book studies, mentoring, prayer-shawl service for homebound or chronically ill neighbors, and support for widows. Founded in 1938 as South Side Baptist Church with forty-nine charter members, the congregation later grew into its current Mobberly identity and multisite ministry. Visitors to this directory address should use the Longview campus page, not schedules for Mobberly’s separate Marshall programs.
