Oakland Heights Baptist Church

About this church

Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview gathers for worship Sunday at 9:45 a.m., with a livestream at the same hour. Small Groups meet at 8:45 and 11, allowing adults to place a group before or after the main service. First-time guests have reserved spaces in the main parking lot and enter through the doors facing Judson Road, where the greeting team can provide directions. Families checking in children begin at the Welcome Center inside the glass front doors; a volunteer then escorts each child to an age-appropriate room.

OHBC describes itself as a biblical community sharing Christ's redemptive purpose with the world and as a church family where people from different backgrounds can connect, grow, and receive support. Children's ministry extends the Sunday lesson into the week by encouraging children to apply Scripture, serve others, and share their faith. Adults can find communities for men, women, college students, and seniors. Music participants can serve through adult choir and other worship roles, while mission teams support work in places including Honduras and Malawi. The church also hosts SALT Outreach most Thursdays from 9 to 10:45 a.m. in the Family Life Center for people seeking assistance, and a Wednesday Bible study begins at 10:31 a.m. A practical Sunday visit pairs one of the small-group hours with 9:45 worship and leaves extra time for child registration.
