Appleby Baptist Church

About this church

Appleby Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation north of Nacogdoches that places preaching and the authority of Scripture at the center of its identity. Established in June 1994, the church describes its worship as Christ-exalting singing followed by Bible preaching, with fellowship woven into congregational life. The weekly schedule includes Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 10:45, Sunday evening service at 7:00, and a Wednesday service at 7:00 p.m.

Visitors looking for a traditional, sermon-focused Baptist setting will find the church's position stated plainly before they arrive. Pastor Dennis Anderson leads the congregation, and the site provides sermon recordings and articles for an advance look at its teaching. Appleby's missions page also names supported work in Mexico, Zambia, Honduras, Guatemala, the Amazon, Quebec, Italy, Ecuador, Slovakia, and Texas-based pregnancy and prison ministries. The church meets at 14010 North U.S. Highway 59. Its online visit form appears to show generic times that conflict with the church's published schedule, so guests should follow the schedule above or confirm directly.
