Rusk Bible Church

About this church

Rusk Bible Church is a young evangelical congregation worshiping from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Sundays at 245 South Main Street, with a livestream available at the same time. It began as a church plant connected with Fellowship Bible, purchased the former First Presbyterian building in August 2024, and publicly launched on Easter Sunday in April 2025. Worship combines modern songs and classic hymns, followed by verse-by-verse preaching through books of the Bible. The church summarizes its purpose as escorting people to Christ, establishing them in truth, and equipping them for ministry.

Rusk follows a family-integrated pattern: children are welcome in the sanctuary, and the building includes a nursing nursery with a television feed plus a toddler room. Coffee and doughnuts—and sometimes quiche—help create an informal arrival before worship. Sunday evening begins at 5:00 with a shared meal and classes for different ages; two official pages give different ending times, so attendees should confirm the current schedule. That small conflict is worth noting for families planning the full day. The combination of a recent local launch, an older downtown church building, shared meals, and expository teaching gives Rusk Bible Church a more specific identity than a generic “Bible church” label conveys.
