Family of Faith Church

About this church

Family of Faith Church is a traditional, family-oriented congregation in Sherman. Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in person and online, and Wednesday Bible study meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The church describes its music as traditional Southern gospel and encourages children and younger members to participate in worship. Its building on U.S. Highway 82 has stained-glass windows and a country-church atmosphere. The congregation presents itself as a place both for people meeting Christ and for Christians seeking to deepen their daily walk, with an invitation to become involved in church and community life.

Published beliefs affirm the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Jesus' virgin birth, miracles, crucifixion, resurrection, return, and forgiveness through his blood; prayer and fasting; Christian discipleship; and service to neighbors. Opportunities include a choir, a women's Bibles & Bows group, a men's restaurant Bible study and fellowship, family activities, prayer, and local outreach. The outreach page highlights support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Children's, a Sherman pregnancy center, and Gideons Bible distribution. Guests can watch worship and Bible study through YouTube or the church app. Before arriving, families should ask the office about parking and accessible entry, typical clothing, worship duration, nursery availability, children's security and worker vetting, and the congregation's Communion pattern.
