Lakeview Baptist Church

About this church

Lakeview Baptist Church welcomes people to its Waco-area sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday for worship and a message from Scripture. The church’s visitor guide says the service normally ends around noon and provides a printed program at the entrance. Dress spans jeans and T-shirts to dresses and jackets, and guests may participate, observe, or ask questions at their own pace. Founded in 1930, Lakeview is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Waco Regional Baptist Association, pairing its long local history with an explicitly multigenerational outlook.

The congregation frames its mission around proclaiming the gospel, worshiping God, cultivating love and righteousness, and serving neighbors both locally and globally. Students from prekindergarten through twelfth grade are invited to youth activities on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 2:00. Adults can connect through prayer and small-group Bible study. Lakeview also describes active partnerships with local nonprofits, Truett Seminary, other churches, and Tri-Cities Ministries, which serves Lacy Lakeview, Elm Mott, and Bellmead. Those partnerships make community care a concrete part of the church’s profile rather than only a statement of intent.
