The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Wylie

About this church

Wylie, Texas has a single meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the directory, at 400 Sanden Blvd, about five and a half miles from the nearest other building, near Plano. A wheelchair can move easily between the entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating.

Four congregations share the building: Nevada Ward at 9 a.m., Wylie 1st Ward at 10:30 a.m., Wylie 2nd Ward at 12 p.m., and Wylie 3rd Ward at 1:30 p.m., each keeping a two-hour block. Every block leads with sacrament meeting, an hour of hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from those in the congregation, then moves into a second hour of classes, Primary included for children. No admission fee applies, and no collection plate is passed. The building runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., busiest around 1 p.m. Because ward schedules are set locally and may shift from year to year, a quick call ahead of a first visit is sensible.
