The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Mirabella 4th Ward, Herriman

About this church

Herriman counts twelve meetinghouses in the directory, and 13003 S 6400 W hosts three of its congregations across one Sunday: Mirabella 4th Ward at 9 a.m., Mirabella 3rd Ward at 10:30, and Pioneer 2nd Ward at 12 p.m. The nearest other meetinghouse sits just six-tenths of a mile away, and the building stays open from 9 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon to fit all three groups.

This kind of staggered schedule is typical of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which draws its congregations along neighborhood lines rather than by choice. Whichever hour a visitor picks, the sacrament meeting includes hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members, with a second hour of classes to follow. Attendance is free, and no plate is ever passed for a collection. Wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, restroom, and seating are all available. Since these times can be adjusted locally from year to year, a short call ahead of a first visit makes sense.
