Dan River Church

About this church

Dan River Church in Danville holds Sunday services at 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. A typical gathering lasts about seventy minutes, with dynamic worship music and a Bible-based sermon aimed at real-world application. Dress is come-as-you-are, and the church encourages visitors to stay afterward for conversation. Nursery-through-fifth-grade programming is offered during the 10:45 service rather than both hours, an important distinction for families planning their first visit to 2805 Riverside Drive.

DRC Kids focuses on helping young participants love God and people while giving each age group an appropriate Sunday environment. Students gather Wednesdays in the Student Commons for food and fellowship, music, teaching from Scripture, and grade- and gender-specific life groups. The student ministry’s aim extends to parents as well, equipping families to make disciples. Across the church, the mission is summarized as changing the world by developing Christ-followers who love God and love people. The church practices believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper within a self-governing local congregation. Families needing childcare should choose 10:45, while student families should request the current Wednesday start time before arriving.
