Covenant Presbyterian Church

About this church

Covenant Presbyterian Church in Staunton offers an 8:30 a.m. blended service and a 10:30 a.m. traditional service. The early gathering is condensed and less formal, with Communion every Sunday by intinction. The later service features adult choir, piano, organ, and occasional handbells or instruments, is livestreamed, and normally celebrates Communion on the first Sunday. Through August 30, 2026, the church has moved the later service to 10:00 a.m.; visitors during that period should follow the dated summer notice rather than the regular time.

Children are welcome in both services, with activity folders available in the narthex and a children’s message during the later gathering. Covenant also operates a developmental preschool founded in 1964 for children ages two through five, with limited enrollment, low staff-to-child ratios, and need-based tuition assistance. The congregation describes faith as a lifelong journey taken together through questions, service, and community. For a first visit in the Staunton area, choose weekly Communion in a shorter blended format or a fuller choir-supported Presbyterian liturgy, then verify whether the temporary summer hour is still active.
