About this church
Wesley United Methodist Church in Kenosha holds a family worship service Sundays at 9 a.m. and Sunday School at 9:15. Hospitality is available before worship from 8 to 9 and again from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The church's visitor directions place its parking lot and entrance on 47th Avenue, beside the 60th Street property. Nursery care for children in kindergarten and younger operates during worship and Sunday School, while classes extend from prekindergarten through high school. Wesley describes its identity through United Methodist Wesleyan theology, connectional ministry, meaningful worship, music, education, prayer, fellowship, and service; its local congregation was organized in 1950.
Community work is especially concrete in Wesley's long-term partnership with nearby Curtis Strange Elementary School, where many families experience poverty. Church members meet with school leaders, collect supplies, winter clothing, underwear and spare clothes, adopt families for Christmas meals and gifts, assist at school events, tutor, and mentor students. Other outreach ranges from short service projects and collection drives to sustained volunteer placements. Christian formation includes children, youth, adults, and a Confirmation curriculum built on Scripture and Wesleyan principles. The site does not explain ordinary clothing, wheelchair routes, child check-in or worker-screening rules, hearing assistance, worship length, Communion schedule, livestreaming, or sensory accommodations; the office can clarify those needs.
