About this church
Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Sheboygan gathers on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for the Divine Service, a liturgical service that includes Holy Communion every week. The service bulletin is posted on the website ahead of time, and the Divine Service is carried on a live YouTube feed for those unable to attend. The congregation began as a mission on Sheboygan's north side in 1947, organized the following year, and dedicated its current building on Eisner Avenue in 1964. The sanctuary features six stained glass windows depicting the life of Jesus, along with a pipe organ. Check the website to confirm the current schedule.
Sunday School and Bible study are offered during the program year, and recorded Bible classes and sermons are available on the church's YouTube channel. The congregation supports an international mission, Lutherans in Africa, and a local Hispanic outreach in Sheboygan County. Each late summer it joins other congregations for an outdoor Divine Service at Christopher Farm & Gardens, and has used the gathering to collect food for the Sheboygan Food Pantry. Fellowship events have included Easter breakfasts, bowling outings, and a spaghetti dinner. A monthly newsletter posted online shares upcoming events, and the church lists Sunday morning office hours.
