Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church

About this church

Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church's current homepage lists Sunday worship at 10 a.m. at 323 South Fifth Avenue, with a livestream. That is thirty minutes earlier than the older 10:30 directory time and should replace it for visit planning. The congregation values liturgy, preaching, music, sacraments, children, youth, mission, and its international Moravian heritage. It describes itself as a safe harbor for people from different religious backgrounds and connects belief with practical service rather than only Sunday attendance.

From September through early May, children in grades one through five meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for activities and a meal; grades six through eight meet from 5:30 to 7 for fellowship, fun, and food. Tuesday Bible study begins at 8:15 a.m. with coffee, doughnuts, and open discussion. Local mission includes quilting, food support, a Blessing Box, a community garden, and longstanding involvement in Door County Habitat for Humanity. Families should use the current 10 a.m. service, then verify school-year youth dates; adults seeking a smaller first step can try the Tuesday study. Seasonal music and formation programs add other ways for households to participate.
