What Does 1 Chronicles 2:18 Mean?
Having traced Ram's line down to David, the chronicler now returns to another of Hezron's sons, Caleb (called Chelubai earlier). He records Caleb's wife Azubah and the sons born in this branch of the family. The narrative is filling out the whole tribe of Judah, not only the royal line.
