What Does 1 Chronicles 2:9 Mean?
Returning to Hezron, through whom the kingly line descends, the chronicler names his three sons. Ram is the ancestor of David, and his line will be traced first; the families of Jerahmeel and Chelubai (also called Caleb) will be followed later in the chapter. Here the great trunk of Judah branches into the families that fill the land.
