What Does 1 Chronicles 27:19 Mean?
The roll of tribal rulers continues with Ishmaiah over Zebulun and Jerimoth over Naphtali, two northern tribes whose territory lay around the region of Galilee. Each tribe, however far from the capital, is given its appointed head.
No corner of the people is too distant for the king's care. The northern lands here named would one day see the dawn of Messiah's ministry, where a great light shone on Galilee. The God who orders His people in every region was preparing, even then, the places where His salvation would appear.
