Paul states the conclusion plainly and twice for force: one cannot drink both 'the cup of the Lord' and 'the cup of devils,' nor share both 'the Lord's table' and 'the table of devils.' The two fellowships are mutually exclusive. To belong to Christ at His table rules out belonging at the table of false worship.
