What Does 1 Corinthians 7:33 Mean?
Paul observes, without blame, that a married man's concerns are necessarily wider. He must attend to "the things of the world" -- the practical matters of providing for and pleasing his wife. His care is divided between the Lord and his household.
This is simply the shape of married love, and it is good and right. Paul is not faulting the husband for caring for his wife; that care is itself a duty of love.
