What Does 1 Samuel 30:18 Mean?
The word given in verse eight comes true to the letter: David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and among the rescued are his own two wives, Ahinoam and Abigail. What was carried off into the wilderness is brought back; the loss that opened the chapter is reversed.
