Paul offers reassurance: she will be kept through childbearing, as believers continue in faith, love, and holiness.

What Does 1 Timothy 2:15 Mean?

After the sober recollection of the fall, Paul turns to hope. Though childbearing was bound up with the curse, the woman is assured of God's saving care through it.

Salvation rests, as always, on continuing in faith, love, holiness, and good sense, the marks of a life joined to God. Paul lifts a place of pain and risk into the light of God's keeping promise, where ordinary faithfulness is met by grace.
