What Does 1 Timothy 6:5 Mean?
Paul continues describing the false teachers: their endless wrangling springs from corrupted minds emptied of the truth. They treat godliness as a way to get rich.
To use religion for personal gain is to twist it into something false. Paul tells Timothy plainly to withdraw from such people. Some things cannot be debated into health; they must simply be left behind.
