What Does 2 Kings 9:12 Mean?
The officers refuse to be put off; they sense something has happened. When they insist, Jehu speaks the heart of the matter: the LORD has anointed him king over Israel. What was done in the privacy of the inner room now comes into the open, spoken among the captains who will help bring it to pass.
