What Does Acts 10:24 Mean?
The journey takes until the following day. In Caesarea, Cornelius has not waited idly: he has filled his house with the people he loves most — kinsmen and near friends — assembled to hear a message he has not yet heard himself.
That is expectant faith: he prepares an audience for a word still on the road. Cornelius cannot preach, but he can gather, and his gathering becomes the congregation for one of the great days of the gospel. Bringing the people we love within earshot of the word of God is itself a ministry.
