What Does Acts 23:24 Mean?
The orders include mounts for Paul and state the mission plainly: deliver him "safe unto Felix the governor," the Roman ruler of Judea, whose seat was at Caesarea on the coast, some sixty miles away.
"Bring him safe" is a soldier's order that reads like heaven's. The Lord has named Rome as the destination (v. 11), and Caesarea is the next step on that road. God moves His servants toward their calling through ordinary logistics — an officer's command, a borrowed mount, a night march — all of it resting on a promise.
Acts 23:24 in the Original Language
