Acts 3:9 Meaning and Explanation

Nothing about this healing is hidden. It happens at the temple, at the crowded hour of prayer, to a man the whole city has seen for years. The gathered people watch him do the two things he could never do — walk, and walk in to worship.

His praise is as public as his healing. Before Peter preaches a single word, the man's legs and his joy are already bearing witness, pointing past the apostles to God. A changed life is the church's first sermon, and often its most persuasive. People may argue with claims; it is harder to argue with a man they have known for years, now standing and praising the God who raised him up.
