What Does Acts 4:11 Mean?
Peter reaches for Psalm 118:22 and aims it at the bench: you are the builders. Jesus had quoted the same psalm of himself in the temple during the last week of his life (Luke 20:17). The experts inspected the stone, judged it worthless, and threw it aside.
The cornerstone is the stone that sets every line of the building, and God has made the rejected one exactly that (Ephesians 2:20). What the credentialed discard, God can make the foundation of everything he builds. No rejection by men — of Christ, or of those who bear his name — settles what God will do with a life.
