What Does Acts 7:27 Mean?
The peacemaking failed. The offender pushed Moses aside and challenged his right to intervene at all.
It is the guilty party who resents the rescuer. Stephen will quote these very words back in verse 35, for they are the standing question unbelief asks of every man God sends, and it was asked at last of the Son himself (Luke 19:14). Rejecting the messenger is how we refuse the mercy.
