Daniel 12 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Daniel's last vision ends with the most hopeful promise of all — about a day when everything sad comes untrue.

Today's Story

God gave Daniel one last part of the vision, and it ended with shining hope.

“There will be a hard time,” the messenger told Daniel, “but God's people whose names are written in His book will be rescued and kept safe.” God knows the name of every one of His people, written safe in His book.

Then came an amazing promise — about a day when even death won't be the end. “Many who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up,” the messenger said. The people who belong to God will rise to live with Him forever! Sadness and death won't get the last word — God will.

“And those who are wise,” he said, “will shine like the brightness of the sky, like the stars forever and ever.” Those who love God and lead others to Him will shine like stars that never go out.

Finally, the messenger said, “Go your way, Daniel. Rest. And at the end of the days, you will rise to receive your reward.”

Daniel's book ends with the brightest hope: God wins, His people rise, and the ones who love Him shine like stars — forever.
