What Does Daniel 4:29 Mean?
A whole year passes. The warning had been given, but the sentence had not yet fallen. We find the king walking in his palace, the seat of his power, with the danger seemingly past and forgotten.
The twelve months are a window of mercy, time enough to repent. God's patience had given the king every opportunity to humble himself. But delay can lull the heart back into pride. The space God grants for repentance is meant to be used, not squandered in returning ease.
