What Does Daniel 4:8 Mean?
Last of all comes Daniel, whom the Babylonians had renamed Belteshazzar. The king notes the name was given after his own god, yet he also acknowledges something deeper in Daniel: the spirit of the holy gods, as a pagan king would phrase it. To this man he tells the dream.
