What Does Daniel 6:23 Mean?
The king is overcome with joy and orders Daniel lifted out of the den. When he is brought up, no injury of any kind is found on him. The text gives the reason plainly: because he believed in his God. His trust and his deliverance are bound together.
No manner of hurt was found upon him; the man sealed under the stone emerges wholly unharmed. Scripture does not credit Daniel's survival to luck or to the lions' chance mildness, but to his faith in God.
