What Does Ephesians 2:6 Mean?
Having made us alive, God 'hath raised us up together' with Christ. The believer's destiny is tied to the Lord's own ascent from death to life. What happened to Christ is, by union with Him, shared with His people.
More wonderful still, God 'made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.' The place of honor Paul described for the exalted Christ is, astonishingly, shared with those who are His. Our standing is already secure in Him, seated where He is, even as we still walk the earth.
