What Does Ephesians 6:20 Mean?
Paul describes himself with a striking phrase: 'an ambassador in bonds.' An ambassador represents a king, yet Paul represents his King while in chains. The dignity of his calling stands in poignant contrast to his imprisonment. He is bound, yet still on the King's errand.
