Exodus 26 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

God describes the beautiful tent where He will live among His people — every part made with care.

Today's Story

God gave Moses the plans for the tent itself, and it was beautiful. The walls were gold-covered boards. Over the top went layers of woven curtains — blue and purple and red — with angels woven right into the cloth.

Inside, a special, thick curtain divided the tent into two rooms. The inside room was called the Most Holy Place — the most special spot of all, where the golden ark would sit and God's presence would be. The curtain kept that holiest room set apart.

Every single piece had its place, and every piece was made with care and beauty, because it was a home for God.

God cared about the details. Nothing about His house was thrown together — it was all made carefully and beautifully, because it was a place for the King of everything.

A Big Word

Talk About It

  1. God made His tent beautiful in every detail. What's something beautiful you've seen that made you think of God?
  2. The Most Holy Place was set apart as super special. What's a special place that's just for something important to you?
  3. God cared about every little piece. How does it feel to know God cares about little details — even the little details of your life?
