Context

Processing the sin offering's internal organs

What Does Exodus 29:13 Mean?

The fat that covers the inward parts (intestines), the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat are removed and burned upon the altar. These organs represent the choicest internal portions.

In Israel's sacrifice system, fat was considered especially valuable and was consistently offered to God, signifying the offering of what is richest and most essential.
