What Does Hebrews 2:12 Mean?
To prove that Christ truly calls believers His family, the writer puts a line of Scripture on the Savior's own lips. Christ speaks: "I will declare thy name unto my brethren." He stands among His people not as a distant ruler but as one of them, making the Father known.
More striking still, He joins their worship: "in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee." The Son is pictured standing among His gathered people, leading their song.
