What Does Job 10:13 Mean?
Job's tone shifts. Having recalled God's care in forming him, he now suspects that God has been keeping secret intentions 'hid in thine heart.' He feels that some larger design has been with God from the beginning, even if it is dark to him now.
Job speaks more truly than he knows. God does carry purposes we cannot yet read, and in suffering they often stay hidden. Faith does not demand to see the whole plan; it trusts the heart that holds it. The God whose deepest counsel was a cross knows how to keep mercy hidden until its time, and what He hides He hides in love.
