Job observes how untouchable the powerful wicked often appear. Who will openly accuse such a man to his face, or repay him for the evil he has done? In this life, no one seems able or willing to call him to account.
The question exposes the limits of human justice. The mighty wrongdoer escapes earthly reckoning because none can stand against him. But the very emptiness of that human silence points to the necessity of a higher Judge. If no one on earth will repay him, then justice must belong to the One who judges in heaven.
