Job resumes his oath, binding together step, heart, eyes, and hands — the whole person in motion. To turn 'out of the way,' to let the heart follow wherever the eyes wander, or to let a 'blot' stick to one's hands is to be defiled in conduct and desire alike.
Job knows that sin is not only outward action but the inner drift that precedes it: the heart led astray by what it covets. He claims to have kept the whole self aligned — feet, affections, and deeds. This wholeness of holiness is what God desires in every age, and what is finally made possible only by the cleansing of the heart from within.
