What Does Job 36:26 Mean?
Elihu confesses the limits of human understanding. God is great in a way that outruns our grasp; we do not fully know Him, and His years are beyond all counting. Reverent wonder, not mastery, is the right response.
To say we know Him not is not despair but humility before the Eternal One. Yet the same God who exceeds our searching has made Himself known in measure and in mercy. In Christ the unsearchable God draws near, so that we may truly, though not exhaustively, know Him.
