What Does Job 36:33 Mean?
Elihu closes the chapter with the thunder itself. Its noise gives warning of the storm, declaring what approaches, and even the cattle perceive the rising tempest. All creation responds to the signals God sets in the sky.
That the very thunder testifies, and the beasts take heed, presses Job toward attentiveness. If creation listens for God's voice, how much more should the human heart. The whole chapter readies us for the storm out of which God will speak, and for the fuller voice that calls to us in His Son.
