Job 4:17 Meaning and Explanation

Here is the heart of the message Eliphaz received. The voice asks whether mortal man can be more just than God, or any person more pure than his Maker. Yet Eliphaz wields this truth as a weapon, implying that Job's complaint amounts to claiming to be more righteous than God, and therefore that his suffering is deserved.
