What Does Job 5:9 Mean?
Eliphaz now lifts his voice in praise, describing the God to whom Job should turn. This God does great things that cannot be fathomed and marvels beyond number. The language exalts a Maker whose works overflow human understanding.
Such praise is wholly fitting, and it gently rebukes our small expectations. The God who acts in ways past finding out is not bound by our calculations of how blessing and trouble must work. To trust Him is to rest in a wisdom higher than our own. The believer can take comfort that the One whose works are unsearchable is also the One who numbers every hair and forgets no one.
